The cost of medical oxygen in Kenya is expected to drop by up to fifty percent next year. Bernard Dullayo, the founder of Hewa Tele, says the company has received funding of 3.6 billion shillings to increase production from two tons to twenty tons by May 2025 and reduce the price from 280 shillings to approximately 150 shillings per liter. This funding from the United States aims to enhance Kenya's capacity to be self-sufficient in medical oxygen and reduce dependency on energy from abroad.
